This is all that the weekend brought forth in terms of craft. Having said that I’m quite impressed with it, and me, and for my perseverence in the face of still not having different yarn. That’s not because I dislike this one, but I fear pictures of tiny green crocheted things must be wearing you out…
Last week ended with yet more days of bathroom men, tiling and grouting and boxing in and mending holes in the house. Even though I’d mentally told myself ‘an extra £500 quid and two more days’, when it came to it I realised that at least half of me hadn’t listened to a word I’d said, and I was feeling disappointed, and as though my life is still disjointed.
To make up for it I went to Bath on Saturday with my friend to visit the spa – if you can, you should go. Immediately. The steam rooms are fantastic – slightly other worldly, and without time – and we both loved the rooftop pool. (Sorry there are no photos of Bath but we were in our cossies – you think I’m going to post cossie pictures on here? What sort of a blog were you expecting?!)

With one last day of men in the house today I got myself settled to do a bit of sewing this afternoon, with a little unwanted help.

It’s finished but I’ll refrain from posting completed pictures until I know it’s arrived where it’s supposed to be.
Thank you all for the nice comments about my first tutorial – much appreciated

Ooh – I am jealous – my sister went to the spa not so long ago and said it was fantastic!
That green yarn is lovely – looks like your crocheting is going really well. Looking forward to seeing pics of your finished object – I have that burgundy embroidered cord too.
I love the photo of the helper – perfect.
What a lovely day you sound to have had at the spa – I am very envious and wish that I could get myself to Bath immediately.
I love the idea that you might be wearing us out with your green offerings – they only wear me out in the sense that they are a constant reminder of my own failings in the crochet department, but in every other way they are a delight to look at!
I was doorstop making last night too – but I don’t put interfacing on mine and now seeing yours I am feeling worried that it may be a very good idea to future-proof them. Mmm….
Oh I love the green. I hope that gift didn’t arrive with a cat attached to it!
Ooooh, how exciting! Both the Bath Spa experience and the work-in-progress
Please don’t worry about the green – you have never have too much ….. green or crochet shots!
Oh, you have a sewing helper! So do I–also a kitty! ;o) Your crochet is turning out wonders. I’m still working on getting gauge right…I’m so used to knitting, crochet is taking me longer to get the hang of. Happy week ((HUGS))
oh your kitty kat is soooooooo cute!
