For me? Are you sure?

Not one but two blogging type awards came my way yesterday, and very nice they are too. For me, the only problem with getting awards of any kind is the swift-following, self-imposed pressure to be whatever it is I’m supposed to be, immediately and with great effect, to somehow prove I deserve it, lest I be found out for the massive fraud I am.

I hope it’s not just me who feels that way about being a grown-up.

You make my daySo from Florence, whose day I make. It’s fair to say it runs in the other direction too, but I believe the custom is to pay it forward, so here goes. (I’m pinching the Flossie Format, since I am finding choosing so very difficult.)

I must mention Monkee Maker who does the most fantastic things with knitted monkees, and so often makes me hoot with laughter. I know she might choose not to participate, and there are monkees to be manipulated after all, but I had to acknowledge it.

Secondly, Tracy at Pink Purl, whose blog I found only recently. Her enthusiasm is infectious and her emails make me smile. Oh, and we both have cats called Charlie and if that’s not reason enough I don’t know what is.

And to Ali too, for her simple, honest writing. It’s a pleasure to read her blog, a pure pleasure.

arte y picoFrom Helen, the rather splendid looking arte y pico award, for being creative and inspiring, a label I really will have to work hard to live up to. I have imagined this statuette to be about five feet high for some reason, and can’t shake the thought at all.

I’ll pass this one on to Anna at Marmadaisy who makes lovely things up in Wales, and has shown me how to reclaim my t-shirts and keep my dignity.

To Amy at LucyKate crafts, because I love the little softies she makes, and it is so far out of my sphere of capability that I just look on in amazement.

Lastly, but certainly not leastly, to Lisa, who needs no introducing. Thanks for everything, duckie.

But you know what, without this on-going conversation between all of us, none of it would be as much fun. Ain’t the internet brilliant?
